| Subject: How To Report a Player for Hacking, Bad IGN's, Abuse or Excessive Foul Language: Tue Nov 24, 2009 6:39 am | |
| All Cheating/Hacking reports should be sent in via PM to a GM. Not posted in threads on the forums. Posting reports of this kind will result in that thread being removed.
To make sure you are reporting someone who has broken a Cross Fire game rule we highly suggest reviewing the Terms and Conditions.
Note: due to policy and the systems we use to issue bans not all bans will show up on the ban list. If you send in a report for a hacker please be assured that we will read it, review it and take the appropriate action based on our judgment of the evidence. Whether or not your reported player shows up on the ban list, know that we've taken all possible actions for or against accused players. Please report in PM player for the following reasons:
Hacking/Cheating/Bug Exploiting Inappropriate Character/Forum Name ( pm [CM]FallenAngel ) Using excessive foul language Harassment, Racism, Sexism GM or Mod Impersonating ( pm [CM]FallenAngel ) Send the reports to [GM]Saidin in a PM (Private Message) Please DO NOT post the report on the forums. Posting on the forums will result in the thread being immediately removed and a possible loss of Karma. Step By Step instructions on saving your replay files: Finish the Match/game. Look for the Save button on the splash screen after the match. Note, save it quickly because the screen will exit after a few moments. Locate your replays in your replay folder. Default folder is /Documents/Cross Fire/Replays/ Rename your replay to an approximate name of the hacker. Upload the replay to a file hosting site like Mediafire or Megaupload. Include the link to the file in the PM Follow notes below for information on what to include in your report/PM and any additional info.
Things to include in your report: For Hacking/Cheating/Exploiting reports you must include a replay and at least 1-2 screenshots showing the player in the game. There is no exception to this rule and your report may be ignored if not completed properly. Replays are located in your Documents/Cross Fire/Replays folder. A screenshot of the player list is also acceptable. Press Tab and screenshot the list of players. For all other reports we accept screenshots but you must include as many as possible to make your case (limit of 6 please). Please include any additional available information. That means the EXACT IN GAME NAME, when you think they were hacking, what kind of hack you think they might have been using. Also when including Clan Match Replays please state which opposing Clan Members IGN's are the ones you think are hacking. Host the Files online at a site like megaupload or mediafire. Send the links to the files in the PM so we can download them. DO NOT use Youtube or User Made Videos (avi's etc) or any other files other than *.cfr files and screenshot files. Non mandatory tips to make your report better:
Review your replays so you can provide us clear information. You should rename the replay file and screenshots to the exact name of the hacker, (an approximate name is ok too) if possible. Mediafire uses directories to store files. So if you use mediafire please tell us the exact filename for the report or make sure to send the link for the specific file. Don’t be afraid to report a hacker. We look at all evidence to make a case. If you think someone is hacking, please report it. We will make the judgments accordingly. Be patient. All reports will be taken care of in some degree. But assume that we’re always busy and will get to yours as soon as possible. | |

| Thanks for the option of reporting mean players. I rarely encounter bad people in the game. But once I see one I will follow your suggestions. More play, Less pay | |
